Quote of the Day

The funniest thing I heard all week:

Dad was in his jammies, (with his coat on over them) getting ready to go out to the garage (a.k.a. his bedroom since I moved into his room) for the night. His hand was on the doorknob when he stopped and turned back to address Mom, Dan, and me.

"This is depressing," he said.

"What's wrong?" I asked him.

He sighed, hung his head, and said, "I'm going to be 62 years old in a few months and I'm sleeping out in the garage while some guy from Ohio is sleeping in MY bed. WITH MY DAUGHTER!"

Poor dad.

That is very funny! He's sweet to give you his room though....

but now that I think about it, why did you take away an old man's room? LOL

She took his room because he goes to to bed at 8:00 PM usually before the kids and 4 days a week he gets up around 4:00 AM to go to work. He thought it would be quieter for him to sleep in the garage; which is heated (and has an air conditioner), has a bathroom, cable TV, a fish tank, running water, a mini coffee pot, and no kids! He is really roughing it! Of course he did this when it was Aug and we all thought it would be for 2 months. Only 4 more months and he can move back into the big house!

Ha!! I am cracking up at this Teble! I am laughing more at your mom's comment. (heating, air, fishtank, etc...) :)

Most people would be lucky to have a flat as nice as his garage! If only he didn't have to share it with 2 regular cars, two vintage cars, and two boats.
