My vice presidential candidate is hotter than your VP.
(So I guess you know I'm not talking about Joe Biden. )
Heather Mallick is a big old skanky 'ho. She should have her press card shredded and stuffed down her big fat throat. She's a pig who should keep her very biased and partisan opinion to her skanky 'ho self. At least she doesn't generalize an entire state as "a bunch of drunks and crazy people." Oh, no wait. She did. Stupid tramp.
Sarah Palin is Tina Fey's long lost twin. Only Palin's a tiny bit feistier.
Hey, Martha Stewart! Her name is Sarah, not Sharon. Duh.
Okay, I'm done now. For the moment, anyway. The last time we had an election this crazy I was pregnant.
I heart Sarah and John.

I am stunned...
bless your heart...
You go girl!
Leslie, I've been stunning people for years. It's my special talent.
It's tough to be a liberal Republican--or a conservative Democrat, depending on the candidate. It just confuses the people who know me.I tend to be middle of the road on most things, but when I believe in something I REALLY believe in it with all my heart.
Which you've blessed. :-)
I heart them too! (John and Sarah)
Agree with the entire post.
Love ya crazy girl.
Oh, Teble....
You wouldn't allow an unlicensed doctor operate on sons, or take your car for repair to an unqualified mechanic. But you're excited about a potential VP who clearly has so little intellectual curiosity about the world? Nothing in her life indicates that she was taking a larger world view or considering a life of public service...certainly nothing that points to a curiosity about politics on an federal or international level.
I'm stuck trying to name any other big journalist to come out of the University of Idaho (or any other other 5 colleges she intended to attend / enrolled but left after a couple of weeks/ terms, etc). A short stint as a sports reporter in AK? A pageant runner-up? Certainly her term as a mayor is worth mentioning: a town of approx. 7,000 and managing a gov't staff of 53 employees. I can not fault her political smarts; she could put her finger up and see which way the wind was blowing. As mayor, she worked hard to get federal money for her town, but then public opinion turn against earmarks, so she launched her campaign for governor as a reformer and against those same earmarks. (I'm sure you've been exposed to many of the news reports that debunk her "thanks but no thanks" story about declining the money for the bridge to nowhere. When public sentiment turned against it and the bridge project was killed in Congress, THEN she turned against it. But the money flowed into the state anyway, used for other projects.)
And now.... she's unwrapped the candy bar and found the last golden ticket. I imagine that given her education & background, becoming governor seemed similar to William Hurt's character's thoughts in Broadcast News: "What do you do when your real life exceeds your dreams?" It frightens me that she's not really objective enough about herself to realize that she doesn't even KNOW what she doesn't know. Cramming for interviews and debates? This isn't a mid-term exam...
I'll never be able to understand the attraction of wanting someone to hold the highest (or second highest) office in the land just because they seem like someone you'd want to have a beer with (W.) or now with Palin, because she seems like a regular person. Five kids, one pregnant and another with special needs--yet her ambition seems to trump them.
But former NY mayor Gulianni's GOP convention sneering remarks about Sen. Obama's backbround and education were particuarly disheartening. With more black males in prison than in college, deriding a black man who succeeded by working & attaining a good education is not something to make a punchline. Since when did having an Ivy League education become a bad thing? Why would we NOT want the smartest person in the room to do the job? Harvard Law School? Great! Taught constitutional law? Perfect, since the POTUS job involves understanding and defending it. Worked at a grassroots level to help displaced workers, instead of a big payday job on Wall Street? Sounds good to me.
But enough about Obama. If you think he doesn't have sufficient foreign policy experience... well, Joe Biden is a good person to have in the room for a second opinion. Sure, if he wanted to make getting elected easier, he would have chosen Sen. Hillary Clinton and secured the Dem. base and many independents.
Instead, he chose Sen. Biden to help him GOVERN. Contrast that with Sen. McCain's VP choice. Can you honestly say that there wasn't another Republican politician (male or female) in the entire country that would have be more qualified? And given McCain's maverick streak, even a Dem or independent... in a nation of 300,000,000 citizens, Gov. Palin was the most qualified person to become president at a moment's notice, should President McCain become ill or die in office?
Teble, in your heart of hearts, can you honestly defend Sen. McCain's judgment in this VP choice? Is that putting country first, or was this a calculated decision simply to win an election?
Dear Anonymous (not brave enough to leave your name?),
You want someone with experience than vote for John McCain. I don't know why you are comparing our VP candidate to your Presidential candidate. I guess you can’t argue with McCain’s experience. Even Biden and both Clintons don’t think Obama is qualified.

“Hillary Clinton told reporters that both she and the presumptive Republican nominee John McCain offer the experience to be ready to tackle any crisis facing the country under their watch, but Barack Obama simply offers more rhetoric. “I think you'll be able to imagine many things Senator McCain will be able to say,” she said. “He’s never been the president, but he will put forth his lifetime of experience.”
Why is it not racial if the only reason most, not all, blacks are voting for Obama just because of the color of his skin?
Here are a few points about why I don’t think Obama is qualified.
HIS NOT EXACTLIES;.
My Family Has Strong Ties To African Freedom - NOT EXACTLY, your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya . It is the first widespread violence in decades. The current government is pro-American but Odinga wants to overthrow it and establish Muslim Sharia law. Your half-brother, Abongo Obama, is Odinga’s follower. You interrupted your New Hampshire campaigning to speak to Odinga on the phone. Check out the following link for verification of that....and for more. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/7176683.stm
Obama’s cousin Odinga in Kenya ran for president and tried to get Sharia muslim law in place there. When Odinga lost the elections, his followers have burned Christians’ homes and then burned men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took shelter.. Obama SUPPORTED his cousin before the election process here started.
My Grandmother Has Always Been A Christian - NOT EXACTLY, she does her daily Salat prayers at 5am according to her own interviews.
My Name is African Swahili - NOT EXACTLY, your name is Arabic and ‘Baraka’ (from which Barack came) means ‘blessed’ in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama. Barack Hussein Obama is not half black.. If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother’s side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father’s side. While Barack Hussein Obama’s father was from Kenya , his father’s family was mainly Arabs… Barack Hussein Obama’s father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father’s birth certificate even states he’s Arab, not African Negro). http://www.arcadeathome.com/newsboy.phtml?Barack_Hussein_Obama_-_Arab-American,_only_6.25%_African
I Never Practiced Islam - NOT EXACTLY, you practiced it daily at school, where you were registered as a Muslim and kept that faith for 31 years, until your wife made you change, so you could run for office. 4-3-08 Article ‘Obama was ‘quite religious in Islam’’
http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=60559
My School In Indonesia Was Christian - NOT EXACTLY, you were registered as Muslim there and got in trouble in Koranic Studies for making faces (check your own book).
February 28, 2008. Kristoff from the New York Times a year ago: Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it’ll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as ‘one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.’ This is just one example of what Pamela is talking about when she says ‘Obama’s narrative is being altered, enhanced and manipulated to whitewash troubling facts.’
Because I Lived In Indonesia , I Have More Foreign Experience - NOT EXACTLY, you were there from the ages of 6 to 10, and couldn’t even speak the language. What did you learn except how to study the Koran and watch cartoons?
I Am Stronger On Foreign Affairs - NOT EXACTLY, except for Africa (surprise) and the Middle East (bigger surprise), you have never been anywhere else on the planet and thus have NO experience with our closest allies. (until you decided to run for President.)
I Blame My Early Drug Use On Ethnic Confusion - NOT EXACTLY, you were quite content in high school to be Barry Obama, no mention of Kenya and no mention of struggle to identify - your classmates said you were just fine.
I think cocaine use is a little more than Bush’s smoking pot.
Sorry, Teble, for making your blog a political forum, but some comments need to be answered.
You must not have got the memo in teacher school that teachers are supposed to be Democrats!
Seriously though, I like you way too much to discuss politics with you since we are clearly polar opposites as far as this election is concerned. (I think McCain is a senile nutjob, and Palin is 100x worse, but I'm sure you aren't fond of Obama/Biden either.)
Anyway, I hope you and your family are doing well!
Pat,
I'm not anonymous, but I did have to point out that Obama is NOT a Muslim, contrary to the rampant internet rumors, anymore than Palin's new baby was really Bristol's.
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/muslim.asp
Another good, non-partisan site is factcheck.org if you are truly interested in The Facts-from both campaigns.
Furthermore, even if he *WAS* Muslim (which, he ISN'T), that doesn't disqualify him or any other Muslim from running for president. (Well, maybe to people that aren't very open-minded or racist.) The constitution does not say you have to be a white Christian male to run for president.
I know I said I wasn't going to get into politics, but it bugs the crap out of me when people recite stupid email rumors and lies as facts, and I needed to clear that up.
-Angie
Well, I didn't see that coming LOL.
I am not a McCain/Palin fan at all (I won't go into specifics cos I can get nasty LOL), Palin frightens me though, truly.
One thing for sure, it's going to be a VERY interesting election that will closely watched by those in and outside the states.
